Understanding CS2 Float Ranges
What is a Float Range?
Every CS2 skin has a defined float range - the minimum and maximum float values that skin can have. While most skins have the standard 0.00-1.00 range, many skins have restricted ranges. For example, the AWP | Asiimov can only exist between 0.18-1.00, meaning Factory New and Minimal Wear versions are impossible.
Understanding float ranges is crucial for traders and collectors. A skin at the absolute minimum of its float range is considered "best possible" for that skin, even if it's technically not Factory New. These "min float" or "max float" skins often command significant premiums.
Notable Restricted Float Skins
- • AWP | Asiimov: 0.18-1.00 (No FN/MW)
- • AK-47 | Redline: 0.10-0.70 (No FN)
- • M4A4 | Asiimov: 0.18-1.00 (No FN/MW)
- • USP-S | Orion: 0.00-0.50 (No BS)
- • AWP | Hyper Beast: 0.00-0.50 (No WW/BS)
- • M4A1-S | Cyrex: 0.00-0.50 (No WW/BS)
